Yes, it completely <br />eliminates the adverse effects of the wellton-Mohawk <br />irrigation project which caused the problem 12 years ago. <br /> <br />Q Mr. Brownell, have you 'discussed this <br />agreement with the Congressional committees or the <br />'chairmen of~he committees, and what is their view about it? <br /> <br />AMBASSADOR BROWNELL, During the negotiations, <br />and this is an important point, I kept in touch with <br />congressional leaders and the chairmen of the committees <br />that deal with the foreign relations and the Interior <br />Department aspects of this matter, and kept them up,to date <br />as we went along on the substance of the neogiations. <br /> <br />At the same time, I met with the Coro.ilittee of <br />14, which is a committee that has been in existence for <br />some time, made up of two representatives of the governors <br />of the seven States that are in the Colorado River Basin <br />in the United States.
