A simi- <br /> <br />lar check was made of the storage possibility for the 1930-1955 period at a potential <br /> <br />reservoir at the Elkhorn site. It was found that when downstream calls for water <br /> <br />were analysed in connection 1<ith runoff at the mouth of the canyon and at the mouth <br /> <br />of the river near Greeley, there were only 6 years in that 26 year period when stor- <br /> <br />age at the Elkhorn site would have been definitely possible. <br /> <br />Studies have not been made with respect to other tributaries. It is ap- <br /> <br />parent, however, that the 101<er runoffs of the past 25 years would provide consider- <br /> <br />ably less storable surplus than was indicated by estimates based on earlier runoff <br /> <br />periods. <br />
