Durinp: this ti~e the water

supply with the project constructed would very nearly be adequate to meet require-

ments as indicated. An averap:e irrigation shortage of 4.2 percent of demand would

occur. This shortage results from shortapes of a much more substantial nature in

several years, and no shortage in several other years, Rather serious shortages

would have occurred in three years, 1934, 1936, and 1940, with the shortages being

51, 10, and 23 percent, respectively. Lesser shortages ranying from one to five

percent would have occurred in 1939, 1941, 1943, and 1944. II/hen the water-supply

studies were extended five additional years to 1957, an additional year of shortage
8/
(about 10 percent) occurred in 1955.-

If water-supply studies were extended through 1963, it is quite likely that

additional shortages would be revealed.
