<br />~ <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />B. Stocking of species identified in Table 1 in other locations or <br />situations will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Stocking of the <br />following additional species which occur in the Upper Basin but are not <br />included in Table 1 will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis: <br /> <br />o walleye (Stizostedion vitreum) <br />o yellow perch (Perca flavescens) <br />o tiger muskie (Esox lucius x Esox masouinonov) <br />o wipers (Morone chrvsoos x Morone saxatilis) <br /> <br />Case-by-case proposals would at a minimum include the following: <br /> <br />1. The purpose and location of the proposed stocking. <br />2. The species, numbers, and rationale for selecting the <br />species. <br />3. The potential for escapement, the potential for survival in <br />critical habitat if escapement occurs, and control measures <br />which could be implemented to reduce the risk of escapement. <br />4. The potential for impact to threatened and endangered <br />species and the specific measures available to remedy any <br />impacts which may occur including their feasibility and <br />likelihood of success. <br />5. A plan for monitoring the effects of the stocking on the <br />endangered Colorado River fishes. <br /> <br />C. Since the inception of the Recovery Program, the State of Colorado has <br />developed lake management plans for the following waters which have been <br />approved by the Service: <br /> <br />Rio Blanco Reservoir, CO <br />Hollenbeck Reservoir, CO <br />Mark Mesa Reservoir, CO <br />Chipeta Lake, CO <br />Crawford Reservoir, CO <br />Narraquinnep Reservoir, CO <br />Puett Reservoir, CO <br />Summit Reservoir, CO <br />Totten Reservoir, CO <br /> <br />These waters are exempted from further review under these Procedures <br />unless a substantive provision of the approved plan changes, such as <br />additional stocking is proposed which was not addressed in the plan. <br />These management plans and future stocking proposals which are evaluated <br />and accepted under these Procedures may be reviewed by mutual agreement <br />of the Service and the State wildlife agency to insure compatibility <br />with recovery objectives. Any party may petition the appropriate State <br />wildlife agency to review an approved stocking proposal based on new <br />information that was not previously considered in the development or <br />evaluation of the proposal. <br /> <br />7 <br />
