This specific effort may not be necessary if northern pike <br />are removed from this reach during other studies. <br /> <br />Northern pike and other predators should be removed from the system <br />when encountered during routine sampling operations throughout the <br />Gunnison and Colorado rivers. <br /> <br />The Colorado Division of Wildlife (in accordance with the Non-Native <br />Stocking Procedures) should develop a Fishery Management Plan for <br />Paonia Reservoir that includes an option to eradicate northern pike <br />from the Reservoir.
