Project Summary: <br />The purpose of this project, and a concurrent one at Adobe Creek-Phase I, is to <br />determine if water quality (i.e., problems with selenium and other inorganic <br />contaminants) alrestored sites will be conducive to supporting razorback sucker during <br />their various life stages. The objectives are to (1) determine if concentrations of <br />selenium and other inorganic contaminants that are bioaccumulated by razorback sucker <br />adults placed in restored backwater habitat have an adverse affect on their reproductive <br />success and (2) to determine survival, growth and bioaccumulation of selenium in <br />razorback sucker larvae that are placed into restored backwater habitats, (3) <br />(Remediation Phase) determine the flows necessary to reduce elevated concentrations of <br />selenium to acceptable concentrations in water and food organisms and still maintain <br />habitat that is attractive to and suitable for endangered fish. <br /> <br />1 <br />
