Project Summary: <br /> <br />The project consists of constructing a fish passage facility at the <br />Hartland Diversion Dam located on the Gunnison River upstream of the <br />Town of Delta. The original plan called for initiating <br />preconstruction activities in FY 1997 leading to a construction <br />start in FY 199B. However. because of the limited success of the <br />Redlands Fish Passage Facility in FY 1996. preconstruction <br />activities were delayed pending confirmation of fish use of the <br />Redlands Fish Passage Facility during the summer of 1997.The success <br />of the Redlands Fish Passage Facility was subsequently demonstrated <br />by the level of native fish use in August and September of 1997. No <br />funding was programed for preconstruction activities in FY 1998. <br /> <br />IV. Study Schedule: <br /> <br />Unknown at this time pending results of the GVIC Fish Passage <br />Facility and capital project fund availability. <br /> <br />V. Relationship to RIPRAP: <br /> <br />Restore fish passage at Hartland. Task No. II.B.2 <br /> <br />VI.
