Project Summary: <br /> <br />The project consists of constructing a fish passage facility at the Price-Stubb <br />Diversion Dam located on the Colorado River upstream of the Town of Palisade. <br />The original plan called for completing preconstruction activities leading to a <br />construction start in late FY 1997. However, because of the limited success of the <br />Redlands Fish Passage Facility in 1996, preconstruction activities were delayed <br />pending confirmation of fish use of the Red/ands Fish Passage Facility during the <br />summer of 1997. Due to the apparent success of the Redlands Fish Passage <br />Facility as demonstrated by the level of native fish use in August and September of <br />1997, preconstruction activities are being reinitiated in FY 1998 <br /> <br />IV. Study Schedule: <br /> <br />The current plan is to complete preconstruction activities in FY 1998. If FY 1998 <br />funds are available, a construction contract or cooperative agreement award will be <br />made in late FY 1998. If FY 1998 funds are not available an FY 1999 award will be <br />made. In both cases construction will be completed in FY 1999. <br /> <br />V. Accomplishment of FY 97 Tasks and Deliverables, Discussion of Initial Findings and <br />Shortcomings: <br /> <br />FY 1997 Tasks delayed pending confirmation of Redlands Fish Passage Facility <br />success. <br /> <br />VII. Recommendations: <br /> <br />Proceed as outlined above. <br /> <br />VIII. Project Status: <br /> <br />A preconstruction team is being formed to develop designs, complete NEPA <br />compliance and obtain permits. <br /> <br />IX. FY 97 Budget: <br /> <br />1 <br />
