Mr. R. G. Burnett
October 12, 1971
page 3.

No mention is made of the possibility of the establishment of an
environmental center on lands within the project take-line. We had
assumed the Aardvark Society together with the Jefferson County
Commissioners and possibly the Foothills Recreation District(South
Jeffco Recreation District) had expressed an interest in this project.
Additionally, the Foothills Recreation District has expressed an interest
and intent to administer the project area. Obviously, incorporation of
a feature of the magnitude proposed would necessitate are-evaluation
of this Division's comments on the Environmental Statement.

We would like to request that the Division's August 7, 1970 comments
on the Environmental Impact of the Bear Creek Dam and Reservoir Project
be included as an intrinsic part of our comments.

Sincerely,

~YR

Woodward

Director

PTB:lm
cc: T. W. Ten Eyck
Richard Brown
Maurice Arnold
George 0' Malley
Eugene Cook
