<br />.' <br /> <br />Draft Executive order - Front Range Water Forum <br />7/29/93 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />sources of water in groundwater recharge <br />projects, the use of nontributary sources <br />of groundwater available for use in the <br />Front Range, and the use of nontributary <br />groundwater available and under the control <br />of the state Board of Land Commissioners; <br />and <br /> <br />Cd) other opportunities decided upon by the <br />Technical steering Committee. <br /> <br />The state of Colorado shall form a management team <br />with staff from the Colorado state Engineer, the <br />Water Conservation Board, and the Water Quality <br />Control commission. The management consultant may <br />conduct parts of the study or investigation and <br />may use subcontractors to conduct parts of the <br />investigation. The Executive Director of the <br />Department of Natural Resources will designate a <br />team leader for the management team. The state of <br />Colorado will hire a management consultant to <br />coordinate and manage the investigation. The <br />members of the Technical steering Committee will <br />provide technical assistance to the Department of <br />Natural Resources management team and the <br />management consultant hired by the state to <br />conduct the integration investigation. <br /> <br />5. It is not intended that this investigation be <br />comprehensive as to all possible options for water <br />supply development and management to meet existing <br />and future demands for water along the Front <br />Range. There are other proposed projects being <br />planned by various entities. The principal focus <br />of this investigation will be on certain options <br />that involve integration of elements of previously <br />disparate existing systems, in which the Forum may <br />have a unique coordinating role. <br /> <br />4 . <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />It is not intended that this Forum would <br />necessarily provide an opportunity for <br />metropolitan area consensus planning or <br />decisionmaking. Rather, the intent is only to <br />provide an open and technically sound atmosphere <br />to support the investigation. <br /> <br />The scoping of the targeted opportunities and <br />selection of the targeted opportunities will be <br /> <br />e <br />
