Southern California Edison Company. and California <br />Electric Power Company at the Hoover firm rate plus 0.5 of a mill <br />per kwhr for generation. <br />The transition of the camp at Parker Dam from construction to <br />operation has brought about the removal of houses of a temporary <br />type and the construction of suilable permanent type houses, Dur, <br />ing the current year len houses and two sets of duplex houses were <br />removed, Additional houses were added under two contracts as <br />follows: The Pritchett Construction Company built eight 5'1'0001 <br />house, and five 6-1'0001 houses for a contract price of about $116,000. <br />and E, W, Scott built five 5,room houses and five 6'1'0001 houses and <br />30 garages for a contracl price of about $113.000, The District's <br />share of these costs was approximately one third of the total. <br />The District has cooperated with the United States in building <br />a school at Parker Dam, Funds were made available by the Dis, <br />trict for its share of the school in an amount not to exceed $60,000. <br />or 45 percent of the total cost. Present indications are that the <br />school will cost about $116.000, and that the District's share of the <br />cost will be about $51.000. The school is divided into two sections. <br />with two classrooms in each section. <br />
