<br />village from Parker Dam.

<br />There were two nonscheduled outages caused by lightning on the
<br />District's 240 miles of 230,kv transmission line, After each outage,
<br />service was restored immediately.
<br />There were 54 cases of telephone trouble on the District's 438
<br />miles of pole line. All trouble was of a minor nature, consisting
<br />of broken and crossed wires caused by windstorms, splitting of poles
<br />as the result of lightning, and broken insulators caused by hunters
<br />shooting at the line. There was one case of a brush fire annealing
<br />the copper wire to the extent that the wire had to be replaced.

<br />The District has in operation under existing contracts for power
<br />from Hoover power plant a total of 165,000 kw. consisting of gene,
<br />rating units N5 and N6. An additional 82,500,kw generator will
<br />be released to the District on May 31, 1966, unless Nevada by four
<br />years' notice indicates a desire to continue its use, HOWever, the
<br />District may acquire unit N7 upon four years' notice rel(ardless of
<br />any notice given by Nevada,
