~. was passed by the Congress last week and now awaits the President's signature. The sum of $47,000,000 was authorized to be appropriated for construction of these projects. The total new authorizations for the State of Colorado dur- ing the past four years has now reached the sum of $217,000,000, an all time high for any four-year period of Colorado's history. The total cost of reclamation projects authorized for con- struction in Colorado during the past eight years is $397,000,000. This amount greatly exceeds the total past accumulative authoriza- tions in Colorado since the reclamation program was begun in 1902. The status of the projects authorized during the last eight years is as follows: Completed Under Construction In Preconstruction Phase $ 23,500,000 305,000,000 68,500,000 Total $397,000,000 The estimated cost of projects now ready for authorization is $102,000,000 and those in the economic feasibility study phase total $560,000,000. The estimated cost of projects in the reconnais- sance stage is $62,000,000. The grand total of the active Colorado reclamation program initiated during the past eight years is $1,120,000,000. 3. Next Board Meetinq. The next meeting of the Colorado Water Conservation Board will be held at Fort Morgan, Colorado, commencing at 9:00 A. M. September 12, 1964, in the auditorium of the Morgan County REA Building. At that meeting it is anticipated that the Board will make a site selection of the reservoir for the Narrows Project.
