On May 6. 1986 this proposal was <br />rejected by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Subsequently, a <br />phased version of the project was approved by Reclamation for <br />: (1ego-l/~-i'on"" <br />constructipn after intensive ~e~ulations on June 30, 1986 and <br /> <br />congressiorial approval has subsequently been obtained. <br />: <br /> <br />Depletions will not begin until Ridges Basin Reservoir is <br /> <br />completed. Uses should then build up rapidly as other project <br />facilities are constructed.
