Slide IV-4

Power Available - At Plant

The Area resources are summarized here for CRSP and the three small pro-
jects. The capacity is based on adver$e water conditions while the energy
is based on average water conditions. i 1404 MW and 5950 GWh are avail able
from the Storage Project under these ]conditions with the other projects
contributing 38 MW in the Winter Season~ 42 MW in the Summer Season and 139
GWh of energy. The capability of the small projects is not dependable,
however, the magnitude of CRSP reserve capacity and the presence of hydraul-
ic diversity between the projects, being on different river systems, permits
us to consider the capability of these projects firm for marketing purposes.
Uprates do not provi de any long-term capac ity under adverse water cond i-
tions.

Slide IV-5

Power Available - At Load

The capacity available for load for .xisting and potential preference
customers after subtracting out 12B MW for reserves and amounts provi ded to
us by the Bureau of Rec 1 amat i on for' Proj ect Use Loads comes to 1229 MW in
the Winter Season and 1059 MW in the Summer Season. Th i s is a decrease of
4% and 14% in the Wi nter and Summer Se:ason respect i ve 1 y from what ex i st ing
preference customers are presently entitled.to.
~ i

Slide IV-5

Energy Available for Load

Energy available for load for existing and potential preference customers
based on average water cond i t ions after subtract i ng out losses of 389 GWh
and amounts for project use loads prqvided by the Bureau of Reclamation
comes to 5075 GWh, a reduction of 9% from the energy presently under
contract to preference customers. '

Slide IV-7

Anticipated Project Use Loads

The amounts shown here for project use jloads indicate the amount of capacity
that the Bureau of Reclamation estimates will be required at selected inter-
vals during the post 1989 period. A d$tailed tabulation of these loads, by
project, by year, is in the appendix. j Western is currently consulting with
Reclamation to affirm that all load$ listed are authorized to receive
priority for project use power.

"

'10
