<br />J <br />r~) <br />~:) <br />~ <br /> <br />SURVEYING <br /> <br />Reclamation's surveyors will mark, as necessary, the proposed temporary and <br />permanen t boundaries prior to having appraisals done for each parcel. <br />Reclamation will try to contact each landowner 2 weeks prior to entering upon <br />their property to do these surveys. Contact will either be made by phone or <br />in person. Temporary wooden stakes or laths will be used to delineate both <br />current and proposed boundary lines. No vehicles will be driven off the <br />existing canal property wi thout the wri tten consent of the landowner. All <br />surveying and staking of private land will be done on foot. <br /> <br />'--' <br /> <br />TREES <br /> <br />\/here practicable, trees wi thin the construction area will be saved. <br /> <br />APPRAISALS <br /> <br />Appraisals will be conducted within the next year. Appraisers will meet with <br />landowners as necessary and, where required, will have survey crews stake <br />actual areas for permanent and temporary land needs prior to appraisal. <br /> <br />ENCROACHMENTS <br /> <br />Landowners may remove identified encroachments prior to construction or <br />Reclamation will remove these encroachments under contract. <br /> <br />LOCATION OF PROPERTY LINE <br /> <br />Reclamation contracted with a local firm to survey and monument U.S. property <br />in 1984. The property boundaries were also identified with painted fence <br />posts during the summer of 1990. Reclamation is willing to work with each <br />landowner in identifying the U.S. property line adjacent to their property. <br />Landowners wishing to have the U.S. property line identified should contact <br />Carl James at 248-0629, to schedule a time. <br /> <br />OPEN DRAINAGE DITCHES <br /> <br />Open drainage ditches, under the jurisdiction of the Grand .Junction Drainage <br />District and within the canal fee title property, will be replaced at <br />Government expense with subsurface perforated drain pipe. <br /> <br />} <br />
