Under this arrangement, the <br />power obligation would be repaid in the first two years of operation. There- <br />after, the power revenues would be used to assist with repayment of the <br />remaining features of the Pick-Sloan Missouri Basin Program. <br /> <br />Annual benefits from all functions would total $19,669,500. Listed by <br />functions they are: M&I water, $5,401,000; power, $2,787,000; recreation, <br />$9,490,000; fish and wildlife, $503,500; and flood control, $1,488,000. <br /> <br />Based on a 100-year period of analysis at 5-1/8 percent interest, the <br />estimated annual benefits exceed the annual eqUivalent costs by a ratio of <br />1.57 to 1.00. This ratio is based on direct benefits only. <br /> <br />EN~RONMENTALIMPACT <br /> <br />An evaluation of the project's environmental impact is currently in <br />progress by an independent consultant. Data and conclusions concerning <br />the environmental impact are being assembled and therefore are not <br />discussed in this report. <br /> <br />ACKNOWLEDGMENTS <br /> <br />The Federal agencies that made cooperative investigations and <br />contributed.,to the plan formulation are the Forest Service, the Corps of <br />Engineers,W1,e Bureau of Sport Fisheries and Wildlife, and the Federal <br />Water PollUtion Control Administration.
