<br />-..:" .. <br /> <br />..~ <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Explanation <br /> <br />The fOllowing pages list active gaging stations in operation as <br />of December 31, 1950, by the Denver District office of the Water <br />Resources Division, Geological Survey. The lists include not only <br />all stations physically located within the state of Colorado but also <br />several stations in adjacent states where records are of primary <br />interest to Colorado. For convenience separate lists are provided <br />of stations in each of the major drainace basins of the State. <br /> <br />Funds used by the-Geological Survey in the operation of Colorado <br />gaging stations are obtained not only from direct Congressional <br />appropriations but also by transfer from other Federal agencies and <br />through cooperative agreements with the Colorado State Engineer and <br />the Colorado .,1ater Conservation Board. As a IlBtter of general interest <br />the source of operating funds for each station is shOl'm after the <br />name of the gaging station.
