About 20 percent <br />of the main canal will be lined. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Wagner Relift Pumping Plant <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Wagner Relift Pumping Plant will serve 5,500 acres of irrigable land in the <br /> <br /> <br />southeastern part of the unit. It will be located 1n the NEV4 sec. 1, <br /> <br /> <br />T. 95 N., R. 64 W. This outdoor plant will have a rated capacity of <br /> <br /> <br />90 ft3/s and a total dynamic head of 56 feet. The plant will have three <br /> <br /> <br />pumps, each having a rated capacity of 30 ft3/s. The discharge from the <br /> <br />pumps will be merged by a manifold into a 54-inch discharge pipeline. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />An air chamber for surge control is included in the estimate, but more <br /> <br /> <br />detailed analysis of surge will determine whether one is needed. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />North Branch Canal <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The North Branch Canal will start at the main canal approximately 2 miles <br /> <br /> <br />southeast of Ravinia and terminate at North Relift Pumping Plant. A <br /> <br /> <br />Parshall flume will measure water entering the North Branch Canal from the <br /> <br /> <br />main canal. The canal will follow a divide between Choteau Creek and <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Lake Andes, generally along section and property lines. The canal will be <br /> <br />8 miles in length and serve 18,000 acres. The capacity will vary from 290 <br /> <br />to 60 ft3/s. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />North Branch Relift Pumping Plant <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />North Relift Pumping Plant will serve 2,850 acres of irrigable land in the <br /> <br /> <br />northern part of the unit. It will be located in the middle of the west <br /> <br /> <br />side of sec. 12, T. 97 N., R. 64 W. This outdoor plant will have a rated <br /> <br />capacity of 47 ft3/s and a total dynamic head of 103 feet. The plant will <br /> <br /> <br />have two pumps, each having a rated capacity of 23.5 ft3/s. The discharge <br /> <br /> <br />from the pumps will be merged by a manifold into a 36-inch discharge <br /> <br />pipeline. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />37 <br />
