Some <br />projects are designed to directly limit <br />access to riparian areas. <br /> <br />Others focus on various range <br />improvements that are proposed to <br />benefit watershed condition and. <br />ultimately, local and/or downstream <br />riparian areas. <br /> <br />Grazing management projects include <br />components such as new wells, off- <br />channel water distribution. fencing for <br />riparian pastures. and erosion control <br />features. <br /> <br />Upon completion of the projects. resource <br />managers will monitor the project sites. <br />The AWPF Commission hopes that its <br />investments in Arizona's watersheds <br />provide the long-term benefits espoused <br />by project sponsors. <br /> <br />The Arizona map (below) shows the <br />approximate location of the projects <br />profiled in this issue. These AWPF projects <br />vary with regard to grazing management <br />issues and improvement strategies.
