The water
level wos drawn down during April to
elevation 636. During the month of
August, lake Mahove reached 0 high
~lev_aJion _of ~4, ~it_h_an_ a_ctiye. s!Q.rQge of_
1,720,000 acre-feet. The reservoir ended
the water year again at on approximate
elevation of 639 feet with 1,600,00 acre.feet
in active storage.

lake Mohave releases were made to satisfy
flood control requirements and downstream
water use requirements, including
diversions by The Metropolitan Water
District. A small amount of reregulation
occurred at lake Hovasu. During the
water year, approximately 22,410,000 acre.
feet were released at Davis Dam. Of that
amount, approximately 18,751,000 acre.feet
passed through the turbines for power
production.

18

Colorado River recreation.

Water Year 1985

Under most probable inflow conditions the
water level of lake Mohave is scheduled to
reach on elevation of 641 feet by the end
of January 1985 and vary around that
elevation for the remainder of the water
year. During, the water year a total of 14.7
million acre-feet is scheduled to be
released from lake Mohave to meet 011
downstream and flood control
requirements. Of that total, approximately
13.4 million acre.feet is scheduled to pass
through the powerplant and 1.3 million
acre. feet to bypass it.

Lake Mohave Active Stora99*

c,art 7

Reservoir

Acre.Feet

EI.
