Horsetooth <br />Reservoir maximum storage is 156,700 acre-feet. Storage will decline to <br />about 80,000 acre-feet by the end of September. Continuous pumping to <br />Carter Lake will continue through March 20 when the maximum storage <br />content wi 11 be 95,300 acre-feet, 85 percent of capacity. A total of <br />10,700 acre-feet will be released from Carter Lake to Flatiron in April, <br />June, and July. This release is necessary to meet irrigation demands on <br />the Big Thompson River and the minimum inflow requirement to Horsetooth <br />Reservoir during the Pole Hill maintenance and when "skim" water diversions <br />are at capacity. Carter Lake storage will gradually decrease through <br />September and end the water year .at 53,600 acre-feet, 106 percent <br />above average. <br /> <br />23 <br />
