This release is required <br />to meet the irrigation demands on the Big Thompson River and the minimum <br />inflow to Horsetooth Reservoir. The inflow to Carter Lake and <br />Horsetooth Reservoi r will be regu 1 ated from June through September to <br />maintain reservoir storage at desirable levels and meet above normal <br />irrigation demands. Irrigation demands will draft Horsetooth Reservoir <br />storage to 56,000 acre-feet by September 30, which is 15,800 acre-feet <br />below average. The end of water year storage in Carter Lake of <br />15,200 acre-feet would be 30 percent of normal. <br /> <br />21 <br />
