The pumps and canal will <br />then be winterized. During December and January, river releases are <br />expected to average 7 ft3/s to bring Willow Creek Reservoir storage to <br />8,000 acre-feet by the end of January. <br /> <br />Lake Granby-East Slope Terminal Storage <br /> <br />Storage in Lake Granby of 301,200 acre-feet at the beginning of the <br />water year was 72 percent of the 1959-1985 average. Terminal storage <br />on the east slope was 82 percent of normal. About 128,200 acre-feet of <br />water wi 11 be diverted to the east slope during the October-January <br />period. This amount would be 147 percent of the average. All of this <br />diversion and an additional 800 acre-feet will be pumped to Shadow Mountain <br />Reservoir from Lake Granby. A total of 49,200 acre-feet of water will <br />be pumped to Carter Lake from October through January. By the end of <br />January, the storage in Carter Lake is expected to total approximately <br />72,900 acre-feet, and 98,500 acre-feet in Horsetooth Reservoir. <br /> <br />17 <br />
