This compares <br />1 <br />to the value given in the Hill Report of a depletion rate of <br />1.25 acre feet per acre for the entire Western Slope. <br />The irrigated acreage of 136,000 acres is 16.5 percent of <br />the 824,072 acres reported irrigated on the Western Slope in the <br />Hill Report. The incidental area in the San Juan Basin is 13.1 <br />percent of the irrigated area in.::that basin, and is substantially <br />the same percentage as that for the entire Western Slope. <br />IV. Potential Use of Water Supply. <br />A description of potential water development projects in <br />the San Juan River Basin in Colorado is presented. The depletions, <br />that the development of these projects will cause, are also <br />evaluated. The planning for these projects has progressed to <br /> <br />various degrees of refinement from brief reconnaissance reports <br /> <br />on some projects to final land classification and planning on <br />others. <br /> <br />1.
