This list will be reviewed and discussed at the next Management and Biology committee
meetings.

In developing this data base, matching reports with the associated scope of work (SOW) was a
difficult and time-consuming process. One possible remedy would be to assign each report the
same number as the SOW it was written under (or a modification of this number). This would
readily identifY each report as a component of the parent SOW. This number would then be used
by the principal investigators and others when referring to a particular report. The Program
Director's office recommends incorporating this into the format for biological reports.

We now have a data base that includes all of the SOWs through FY99. We will continue to
update this data base regularly and it will eventually become part ofthe Program's tracking
system.

If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or the appropriate Program staff.

~

s!e T.
