The GovernorCs), or in the <br />case of designation by chief elected offi- <br />cials or general purpose local govern- <br />ment. those officials shall, after adequate <br />pUblic notice. hold one or more public <br />hearings or meetings ~ithin the proposed <br />208-planning area tor the purpose of <br />gaining pUblic ~dvice on the designation <br />or the plannLng area and agency. All <br />units of local government wishing to be <br />heard and the general public shall be <br />tncluded. <br />(b) Record of such public meetiilgs or <br />hearings 1ncluding nOLlce of same .shall <br />be kept and ronde available to the Ad- <br />ministrator upon request.
