Bishop <br /> <br />Since its formation the Executive Committee has met prior to each <br />Council meeting, Other meetings were held at Salt Lake City, Utah, January 27, <br />1967, to receive reports of the two working committees; in Portland, Oregon, <br />May 9, 1967, for the approval of the annual report, consideration of a statement <br />on the Council's view on Public Land Law Review Commission Water Study, <br />and further discussion on the Principles; again in Portland, Oregon, August 22, <br />1967, primarily for the purpose of reaching an agreement on the Principles, <br />and review of applicants for Executive Director. At this meeting the Committee <br />approved the statement to the Public Land Law Review Commission (Annex :No, 5) <br />which was presented to the Commission at a hearing held in Spokane, Wash- <br />ington, September 1-2, 1967, by Mr, Wesley A. D'Ewart (Montana). Prior to the <br />September Council meeting in Helena, Montana, the Executive Committee again <br />considered the Principles and the final language was agreed upon and Section 4a <br />added. At a meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada, October 30, 1967, the committee <br />met for the interview of applicants, discussion of the Activities Committee's <br />proposed activity program for the Council, the consideration of incorporating <br />the Council, and the proposed speech of Chairman Moses before the National <br />Reclamation Association Conference in Honolulu, November 12-18, 1967. <br /> <br />WORKING COMMITTEES <br /> <br />The two working committees, the Water Policy and Legislative Com- <br />mittee and the Water Resources Committee presented their respective reports <br />on Principles and Criteria at the Council meeting in Los Angeles, December <br />9, 1966. A Liason Committee was appointed by the Chairman, headed by the <br />two chairmen of the working committees. General Louis H, Foote (Oregon) <br />and Judge Evo DeConcini (Arizona), Other members were Mr. William S, Holden <br />(Idaho) and Mr. Raymond R. Rummonds (California).
