The project was authorized for construction as a unit of <br /> <br />the Colorad.o River Storage Project by Public Law 485. Construction is to <br /> <br />be undertaken in 1960. <br /> <br />The project will serve supplemental irrigation water to the 15,430 <br />acres of irrigated land and water to 5,738 acres of new arable land.
