The con- <br /> <br />struction of reservoir storage on Devil .and Stollsteimer Creeks would <br /> <br />provide for expanded use and the reuse of the water imported to these <br /> <br />two creek basins. <br /> <br />Stream runoff records of Middle Fork and main Piedra River indicate <br /> <br />the unused flow of the two streams would justify the construction of a <br /> <br />canal with a capacity of about 50 cfs. The water thus conveyed, supple- <br /> <br />mented by storage and the reuse of water would provide for the irrigation <br /> <br />of 2,500 acres of new land. This, together with irrigation of 500 acres <br /> <br />of land by extension and enlargement of existing canals will provide for <br /> <br />the irrigation of a total of 3,000 acres of new land. <br /> <br />Table XIII summarizes present and potential stream depletion: <br /> <br />-20- <br /> <br />, ,>,~. <br />
