Such a canal would provide <br /> <br />irrigation for an additional 1500 to 2000 acres, a part of which presently <br /> <br />receives a partial supply of water. <br /> <br />It was concluded that with the West Fork-Fourmile Creek Canal diver- <br /> <br />ting a large portion of the unused summer natural flow of the river above <br /> <br />the junction of the East Fork, the construction of the canal from the <br /> <br />East Fork could not be justified without also providing reservoir storage <br /> <br />on the river above the junction. Stream depletion figures as reported <br /> <br />above provide no allowance for the irrigation of the land potentially <br />serviceable by the East Fork Canal. <br /> <br />-12- <br />
