The April through July runoff was 11.8 million acre feet as compared <br />to an average April through July runoff of 8.3 million acre feet. This per- <br />mitted Lake Mead to rise above its rated head of 1,123 feet above sea level <br />and permitted storage in Lake Powell to reach 8,765,000 acre feet of stor- <br />age, or 45 feet above minimum power pool. Storage in Lake Mead at the end <br />of 1965 was 15,246,000 acre feet. <br /> <br />l <br />
