The Forum is composed of representatives, appointed by the Governors,

from the seven Basin ::tates of Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada,

New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. The mission of the Forum is to provide a

Basin-wide coordinated approach to controlling salinity of the River at

acceptable levels. M"mbers of the Forum are from the \,g ter quality

agencies and the wate;: resources agencies of the State Governments. A

list of the members i:: attached.

The Forum has prl!sented statements in the past to the Congress in

support o[ funding [or the Colorado River Basin salinity control program

carried out under Title II of Public Law 93-320, the Colorado laver

Basin Salinity Control Act. While most o[ the activities in the program

are under the leadership o[ the Secretary of the Interior, there arc a

number of very important activities carried out under the direction of

the Secretary of Agriculture.
