Monitor and coordinate recovery activities among various <br />Service divisions, States, Federal agencies, contractors and <br />Regions, Monitored and coordinated recovery activities among <br />Program participants throughout the year. <br /> <br />II. Develop and administer FWS work advices, Interagency <br />Agreements, Cooperative Agreements or contracts to implement <br />work plans. Developed and distributed draft and final FWS work <br />advices. Provide technical review for the Recovery Program newsletter. <br />Reviewed newsletter for technical accuracy and consistency with <br />Recovery Program positions. <br /> <br />13. Organize and hire contractor for FY 94 Recovery Program annual <br />river trip. Organized upper Green River trip (May 31 - June 5) <br />and hired contractor to arrange details and provide river guide <br />services, Participants toured the Ouray fish propagation <br />(hatchery) facilities and a flooded bottomland restoration site <br />adjacent to the Green River, then took a 3-day, 45-mile, raft <br />trip through Lodore, Whirlpool, and Split Mountain canyons in <br />northwestern Colorado and northeastern Utah,the upper Green <br />River, <br /> <br />14, Hire contractor to provide team-building training for the <br />Management and Biology committees, The goal of this training <br />is to enhance the committees' ability to cooperatively develop <br />creative solutions to the complex issues involved in recovering <br />the endangered fishes. This was not done. The Management <br />Committee decided this would be too time-consuming and thus was <br />not a priority for FY 94. <br /> <br />B. Fish and Wildlife Service: <br /> <br />1. Provide technical expertise and recommendations to the Biology <br />Committee as requested (Grand Junction and Vernal field <br />offices). Personnel from the Grand Junction or Vernal field <br />offices participated in each Biology Committee meeting, <br />providing expertise and recommendations' as needed. Frank <br />Pfeifer, Grand Junction, CRFP represents the Service on the <br />Biology Committee, <br /> <br />2, Participate in Biology committee subcommittees <br />(Propagation/Genetics, Habitat/Life History, and <br />Nonnative/Sportfish), Tim Modde, Vernal CRFP serves on the <br />Propagation/Genetics Subcommittee; Chuck McAda, Grand Junction <br />CRFP serves on the Habitat/Life History Subcommittee; and Doug <br />Osmundson, Grand Junction CRFP serves on the Nonnative and <br />Sport Fish Subcommittee. <br /> <br />3 <br />
