<br />-2- <br /> <br />In light of the legal position, and the projected water availability, the Bureau has stated that they <br />would begin a consultation with the states in accordance with the requirements of the interim flow <br />criteria as set forth in the Grand Canyon Protection Act. We are to receive a notice from the Bureau <br />outlining the consultation process and giving details as to supporting statutes that will be used for <br />the purpose of the consultation process by the end of August this year. <br /> <br />We will continue to be involved in the process and hopefully the Bureau will recognize that the <br />states and power users are willing to exercise any and all options including legal steps that may be <br />necessary to prevent them from violating the Law of the River.
