We are in general agreement with all points
covered in the report and fully support its reconunendations.

Of particular importance are the reconunendations
regarding the implementation of the reconunended plan for salinity
control. The schedule of implementation must not be delayed.
Additional measures will be required in the future with
significant increases in costs if delays occur. We believe it ~s
essential to maintain the numeric standards for Colorado River
salinity to preserve the quality of Colorado River water
available to the City of Los Angeles.

We appreciate the opportunity to rev~ew and conunent
on the report.

Sincerely,

tJ~,/w U~fi~%v

DANIEL W.
