This data was obtained for
Interstate Highway 70 (1-70) planning and construction. Generally, the follow-
ing types of data are available from Dotsero to Grand Junction, Colorado.

a. Topography - horizontal scale of 1"=100'
- contour interval of 2'
- zl,OOO' either side of Highway 6
and 24

b. Environmental Information - Environmental Impact
Statements for some reaches

c. Cultural Resource Information - for some reaches

d. Engineering Information - subsurface geologic drill
hole logs along highway alinement and at bridge
locations

e. Socio-economic Information - for some reaches

The Division of Highways plans to conduct geothermal drilling
in the Hanging Lake and Grizzly Creek areas for highway deicing experiments.
Data from said drilling may be available before conclusion of the Phase I work.

3.2. Current Activities

The U.S. Geological Survey currently operates five gaging
stations and publishes data useful in studying the Glenwood and Dotsero
Springs. These are as follows and are located on the location map No.
1244-417-11.

D-4
