r-
C'o)
~
....,

SUMMARY SHEETS

Savery-Pot Hook Project

LOCATION:

Little Snake River Basin in southern Wyoming and northwestern
Colorado, Upper Colorado River Basin.

~

Unused flows of Little Snake River and its tributariesnSavery Creek
from the north and Slater Creek from the south--would be developed
for irrigation, recreation, and fish and wildlife propagation. Stor-
age regulation would be provided by the l8,600-acre-foot Savery
R.eservoir on Savery Creek and the 65,OOO-acre-foot Pot Hook Reser-
voir on Slater Creek. Released storage water, usable natural flows,
and return flows would be diverted by existing and new canals and
ditches diverting from Savery Creek, Slater Creek, and Little Snake
River. New canals would include the Dolan Mesa Canal heading on
Savery Creek; the Pot Hook Canal heading at the Pot Hook Reservoir;
the Willow Creek lateral of the Pot Hook Canal; and the Westside
Canal extension, Two Bar Canal, Lily Canal, and Deerlodge Canal,
all supplied from the Little Snake River. Drains would be con-
structed as needed. Minimum basic recreational facilities would
be provided at the two reservoirs. Water would be released from
Savery Reservoir into Savery Creek when needed to mitigate losses
of, and to improve conditions for, fish and wildlife. A fish
screen would be provided at the intake of the Dolan Mesa Canal.

OOSTS

Construction and Protect Costs (January 1959 prices)
Pot Hook Dam and Reservoir ........ . . . . .

Savery Dam and Reservoir
Dolan Mesa Diversion Dam
Pot Hook Canal . . . . .
Dolan Mesa Canal. . . . .
Westside Canal extension

Two Bar Canal . . . . . . .
Lily and Deerlodge Canals .
Willow Creek lateral . .

Drains . . .. . .. . . .. .. .
Operation and maintenance
Recreational development
Fish screen . . . . . . .
transitional development

Total .. . . .. . ..

. .

. .

. . .

. .

. .

. . .

. . .

. .

. .

. . . .

. . .

. . .. ..

. .

. . .

. . .

. .

. . .

.. .. .. ..

. .

. . .

. .

. . .

. . .

. .

.. .. .. ..

. .

.. .. .. . ..

. .

. .

. .

. .

. . .

. .

. . .

. .

. . .

. . .

.. .. .. .. .. ..

. . .

. .

. . .

. . .

.. . .. ..

. . .

headquarters

. .

. . .

. .

. . .

.. .. .. .

.. .. .. .. ..

. .

.. .. .. ..

. . .

. .

. .

. .

. . .

. .

. . .

. .

. .

. .

. .

.. .. .. ..

. . .

. .

. .

Annual Operation, Maintenance,
and Replacement Costs (1956-58 prices) . . . . . . . .

$4,010,000
2,145,000
160,000
4,700,000
715,000
200,000
1,633,000
1,040,000
108,000
326,000
125,000
77 ,000
12,000
_ 20.000
15,351,000

$87,300
