Rehabilitation of the Model Reservoir storage

decree to original 20,000 acre-feet by transfer to the

Trinidad Reservoir.

2. Release and apportionment of the water stored

in the project reservoir, by mutal consent of irrigators,

based on crop requirements for the acreage served.

3. Limi tation of irrigated lands to about 19,700

acres.

In order to accomplish storage, regulation, and improvement

of the water supply for use in the project area it is proposed

that the Trinidad Reservoir be operated under the following condi-

tions:

.

1. Transfer the 20,000 acre-toot storage decree

of the MOdel Reservoir from the present site to the

proposed Trinidad Reservoir.

2. store in Trinidsd Reservoir, in addition to

storage under the transferred Model right, any flooll.

flows originating on the Purgatoire River above the

damsite which would otherwise spill from John Martin

Reservoir.

3. store in Trinidad Reservoir under Model right
(maximum rate of 700 c.f~s. and 20,000 acre-foot filling)
winter (November through March) flows of the Purgatoire

River historically diverted for winter irrigation of

project lands which are in excess of flows required to

.
