Ecological Enviroumental Resources <br /> <br />Ecological variety, induced by diversity in land and water and wide <br /> <br />range in elevation, provides suitable habitat for many kinds of wildlife. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Progressive management of Colorado's big game has maintained and provided <br /> <br />opportunity for hunting of deer, elk, mountain sheep, mountain goats, <br /> <br />antelope and black bear. Upland and small game include pheasant, partridge, <br /> <br />mourning dove, sagc grouse, blue grouse, ptarmigan, wild turkcy, ducks, <br /> <br />geese, cottontail rabbits and fox squirrel. The main fur animals are <br /> <br />beaver, muskrat, mink, weasel, martin, bobcat, red fox, raccoon, ringtail <br /> <br />cat, badger and opposum. <br /> <br />Many of Colorado's lakes and streams provide excellent warm water fish <br /> <br />and five kinds of cold water fish. Main warm water species include <br /> <br />largemouth bass, perch, crappies, catfish, northern pike, .mlleye and white <br /> <br />. bass.
