Cooperative Studies and Activities <br /> <br />(a) Article VlII G (1) of the Arkansas River Comp.ct requires <br />the Administration to cooperate with the Chief Official of <br />each of the States of Colorado and Kansas charged with the <br />.1dministr<ltion of water rights in their r~pcctive States, and <br />with the Federal 3gcnci~s in systematically determining and <br />corrdating the facts pert.lining to the flCM' and diversion of <br />the waters of the Arkansas River and to the operation and <br />siltation of John Martin Reservoir and other related structures. <br />Article VlII G (2) requests the Director of the United States <br />Geologic:al Survey, the Commissioner of the United St~l.tes Bu- <br />reau of Reclamation, and the Chief of Engineers, United States <br />Army, to coopera.te and collaborate with the Administration <br />and with appropriate State officials in such determinations Jnd <br /> <br />8 <br />
