The relationship between chemical quality and <br /> <br />the Water Qual ity Standards should be discussed. <br /> <br />2. Discuss the surface water bacteriological quality including BOD, <br /> <br />col iform and other appropriate indicators. The relation between bac- <br /> <br />teriological qual ity and the Water Qual ity Standa'rds should be <br /> <br />discussed. <br /> <br />3. Discuss the surface water physical qual ity with emphasis on the <br /> <br />Water Qual ity Standards. <br /> <br />4. Discuss municipal and industrial use of water distinguishing between <br /> <br />them as possible, Discussion should include: <br /> <br />(al present sources, <br /> <br />(b) present treatment and adequacy of treatment fac; I ities, <br /> <br />(c) present qual ity of treated water, and <br /> <br />(d) future needs. <br /> <br />5, Discuss municipal sewage systems including: <br /> <br />(al location, <br /> <br />(b) adequacy of treatment facil ities, <br /> <br />(c) adequacy of treatment (BOD reduction), and <br /> <br />(d) future needs, <br /> <br />6. Discuss stream pollution <br /> <br />(a) summary of sources of pollution loads: <br /> <br />(1) fert if i zers, <br />(2) pesticides, <br />(3) other agricultural operations, <br />(4) industrial pollution, and <br />(5) municipal pollution. <br />
