Estimation of Missing Records

The two years of missing flows for Plateau Creek, 1984 and 1985, were generated using monthly
correlations with the Colorado River near Cameo. The monthly flows were then distributed evenly
through the month to estimate daily flows.

The GVP and GVIC daily diversions prior to 1975 were not available on the State's water data bank.
Readily available monthly summaries of the State Engineer records for the missing years were used
and distributed evenly through the month for daily diversion amounts.

Hydropower return records for the GVP power plant and aMID pumping plant were estimated for
the irrigation and non-irrigation season using the following assumptions:

. Non-irrigation Season (November-March) - GVP diversions equal hydropower
returns
. Irrigation Season (April-October) - 310 cfs GVP power plant returns, 272 cfs OMID
returns.

Adjustments for Current Levels of Depletions

M1Uor water resource developments in the Colorado River basin during the 1970-1992 period
include new and increased transbasin diversions and policy changes in the operation of Green
Mountain Reservoir. Table I summarizes the exports and amounts used in the 1994 LRCWE study
to adjust gaged streamflows.

7
