Can the
Tribe do this?

.

Can the Tribe wheel water to privately owned farm land that is presently irrigated from
wells?

.

The Tribe is examining methods to better dispose of sewage effluent, which is now being
delivered to the tribal farm to irrigate forage crops or disposed of in evaporation ponds.
The Tribe is interested in developing an artificial wetland on the Fort Mojave Indian
Reservation and has inquired whether Reclamation is willing to lease the wetland or buy
the effluent.

.

The Tribe had preliminary discussions with the Mohave County Water Authority
(Authority) regarding possible arrangements to fallow Tribal land and provide water to
the Authority.

3
