<br />002274 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RECEIVED <br />FEB 1 7 1999 <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S MONTHLY REPORT <br />TO THE <br />COLORADO RIVER BOARD OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />Colorado Wat.r <br />Conservation Board <br /> <br />February 9, 1999 <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATION <br /> <br />Board Membershio <br /> <br />Included in your Board folder, as an infonnational item, is a copy of a letter from the Imperial <br />Irrigation District to Governor Davis requesting the governor to appoint Mr. Rudy Maldonado as the <br />Imperial Irrigation District's alternate representative on the Colorado River Board replacing <br />Mr. Ralph Menvielle, whose tenn of office had expired. <br /> <br />Also included in the Board folder is a copy of San Diego County Water Authority's letter to <br />Governor Wilson requesting that Mr. James Bond be appointed San Diego's representative on the <br />Colorado River Board replacing Mr. Watton who announced his intention to resign upon the <br />appointment of his replacement. <br /> <br />Board Meeting Schedule <br /> <br />Included in the Board folder is a copy of a letter from Mr. James Noyes, Chainnan of the <br />Urban Water Institute, inviting the Board to consider changing its September Board meeting date <br />to be coincidental with the Annual Southern California Urban Water Conference in San Diego on <br />September 2 - 4, 1999. Mr, Noyes has recommended that the Board meeting be held on the day prior <br />to the beginning of the conference. <br /> <br />Board Retreat <br /> <br />Last month the Board voted to hold a Board retreat within the next 60 days in order to allow <br />the Board members to discuss current and future policies related to development of California's 4.4 <br />Plan and the structure of the Board and its interaction with the Agency Managers. I can report that <br />plans are moving forward, I have had several calls from Board members regarding the retreat. The <br />details for the retreat will be discussed at the Board meeting. <br /> <br />Statements of Economic Interests <br /> <br />On January 20th, I mailed to all the Board members a copy of the annual Statement of <br />Economic Interests (Fonn 700) from the Fair Political Practices Commission, I want to remind all <br />Board members and alternates that the completed fonn is due back in my office no later than <br />March 2, 1999. <br />
