Most of the reports are in
the attached "main package" and are presented in the order shown on the accompanying reports
list. Shaded items on the list are not in the main package. These reports are either in the "second
package" (also attached), or are not included for reasons outlined in the "Comments" column of
the list.

I would like to thank the principal investigators for all their hard work in preparing these reports.
I think it is important for Recovery Program participants to have a good understanding of the
work accomplished each year, and so I would encourage you to read these individual project
reports. The report format assumes you are familiar with the projects' scope of work.

The FY 97 reports will be discussed at upcoming meetings of the technical committees. Program
coordinators are carefully reviewing the reports for consideration in drafting FY 99 Program
guidance and recommending RIPRAP revisions. (I will distribute my recommended RIPRAP
revisions and FY 99 Program guidance by February 2.)

If you have any questions, please contact me, Angela Kantola, or the appropriate Program
coordinator.

Attachments

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
