<br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />. <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />OC2158 <br /> <br />COMMENTS IN RESPONSE TO A QUESTION POSED <br />DURING THE QUESTION AND ANSWER PERIOD <br /> <br />After the consultants presented their comments to the <br /> <br /> <br />committee, a question was asked regarding pumpage from wells and <br /> <br /> <br />the answer was about 260,000 acre-feet for the year of 1964. <br /> <br /> <br />Comparison of this amount of pumpage with average diversions of <br /> <br /> <br />496,200 acre-feet for the 1950-1965 period and headgate requirements <br /> <br /> <br />of 881,000 acre-feet (as shown on Exhibit A) does not give an <br /> <br /> <br />accurate picture because the average annual amount pumped for the <br /> <br />1950-1965 period was 111,000 acre-feet. This figure should be <br /> <br /> <br />used when comparing the total water availabil ity vs ideal requirements. <br /> <br /> <br />To portray conditions more accurately, average figures should be <br /> <br /> <br />compared to other average figures for concurrent periods to compensate <br /> <br /> <br />for change in ground water storage. <br /> <br />, <br />. <br /> <br />...-~ <br />
