Recharge ponds <br />were located along the canals to distribute water evenly throughout the <br />potential recharge area. Canal capacities were determined based on <br />diverting the annual recharge requirement in a 30-day period, Canals <br />would be earthlined from the diversion points to the recharge areas <br />and unlined in the recharge areas. <br /> <br />49 <br />
