By notching il you have defeated ii's purpose. <br />I think you slu>u1d consider ",building where the dike is now breached. <br />Then piping water out of the Redlands Power Tail Race Canal into the Ela Wildlife Sanctual)', Then from <br />there to an outlet and bact. into the river. That way you have control of the water level and :fresh water all <br />year for the fish recovery projecL <br />Connected Lakes State Park, which adjoins the EI. Wildlife Sanctuary, haS this set up and it workS very well. <br />The water is fresh and the lakes do nOl smell. <br />I have lived on DIke RDad for about 60 year.o and I know the way E1a Wildlife Lake is breaclled. It is the first <br />F100dw.y in the neighborhood, Wben we have high wilier the lake floods first, then the road on the west side <br />ofEI. WIldlife property.
