The State would like to be offered Fontenelle.again <br />in two years. This Service, through the Midwest Regional Office, will <br />. administer the recreation area during the interim period. <br /> <br />/;{<,:.i: <br />~;~.:i~.f; <br /> <br />(~':~;, :t.~::'; <br /> <br />Negotiations have been initiated to place the development and administra- <br />tion of one small recreation site.at theexisting.Newton Reservoir.in Utah <br />with the Cache County Recreation Advisory Board. Newton Reservoir is <br />a feature of the proposed Bear River Project, First Phase, (BR). <br /> <br />General Operations -- Water <br /> <br />Construction has started on the first portion (Phase 1) of the .transcanyon <br />water supply project for the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park. <br /> <br />Potable water developments have been completed at Suns et Crater National <br />Monument and Zion and Canyonlands National-Parks. <br /> <br />National Park Service <br />Western Region San Francisco <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Cooperative Activities - - Federal <br /> <br />Meetings were held with representatives of the Bureau .of Outdoor'Recre- <br />ation'sPacific Northwest and Pacific Southwest Regions to program the <br />assumption of responsibility for Bureau of Reclamation feasibility grade <br />recreation reports by the Bureau of Outdoor Recreation. <br /> <br /> <br />Applications were reviewed for two licens es for constructed hydroelectric <br />projects: First Judicial District, Alas ka, which is located onthe Baranof <br />River and one located on the McKenzie River, Oregon. <br /> <br />On Bureau of Reclamation projects: <br /> <br />The Preliminary Plan for Recreation Development at Lake Lahontan, <br />Nevada, was completed. <br /> <br />State Bulletin No. 117-7, concerning recreation development at San Luis <br />Reservoir, and the recreation potential along the San Luis Canal, San.Luis <br />Unit, CVP, were evaluated. <br /> <br />18 <br />
